It has been reported that the enthusiasm for applying for the Fourth Engineer Award has been extremely high, with nearly a thousand individuals submitting applications. A group of engineers who have previously received national awards actively participated in the application process. After rigorous scrutiny and screening by various recommendation units, a total of 345 engineer candidates were recommended. Following a preliminary review, 331 of these candidates advanced to the evaluation phase, including 224 Distinguished Engineer candidates and 107 Distinguished Young Engineer candidates. Among the Distinguished Engineer candidates, 124 have previously received national-level awards, accounting for 55.4%, with a total of 202 awards received. Similarly, among the Distinguished Young Engineer candidates, 24 have received such awards, making up 22.4%, with a total of 24 awards received. The quality of applications has further improved compared to previous years.

On August 14, 2020, the "2020 Global Blockchain Innovation and Development Conference" and the "Second International Engineering Science and Technology Innovation Forum," co-hosted by the ISEFC, the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ganzhou Municipal People's Government, were successfully convened in Ganzhou City.The conference gathered industry representatives from countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, renowned experts and scholars from both domestic and abroad, as well as representatives from well-known blockchain enterprises and industry associations, totaling approximately 360 individuals. The aim is to showcase the blockchain development achievements in the revolutionary base areas, gather talents, technology, and other innovative resources, deepen foreign exchanges and cooperation, and establish the global blockchain brand of Jiangxi.

Recently, the Foundation Center Network held the "2019 China-Foundation Transparency Index (FTI) Launch Event" in Beijing. ISEFC having achieved a perfect score of 100, was ranked joint first and was honored with the "2019 China-Foundation Transparency Index (FTI) Full Score Foundation Self-Regulation Transparency Award."

ISEFC, in collaboration with the People's Government of Suzhou City and China Education Television, grandly convened the grand 3rd "Distinguished Engineer Award" Ceremony at the Great Hall of the People on January 13, 2019, to recognize the recipients of both the "Distinguished Engineer Award" and the "Young Distinguished Engineer Award".

On October 29, 2018, the Award Committee for the Third Distinguished Engineer Prize convened a plenary session to review the nominees for the Third Distinguished Engineer Prize.
